Rowing machines don't get much cheaper than the Stamina InMotion Rower, but for the casual user that just wants to get a workout in, it is not the worst choice in the world.
The InMotion Rower is compact, made of solid steel and features a basic monitor showing count, time, strokes per minute, calories burned and a scan feature to scroll through all workout metrics.
Let's take a closer look at some of the specs...

The Stamina InMotion Rower is a very basic machine, so as long as you don't expect much you will be fine.
Customer reviews are very positive for the most part, with very few major complaints. It's currently available at Amazon for less than $100 (cheaper than the price shown on the Stamina site), which is really a great deal and ...even if it lasts only a year or two.
You get five different levels of resistance to choose from, which you adjust manually. You get a fairly comfortable seat, pivoting footplates and padded grips. The basic LED display is straightforward enough, giving you feedback on your workout.
Some of the positives on the InMotion Rower are ease of assembly, small footprint and ease of use.
Any negatives? Sure, there are always negatives when you're dealing with a very low priced machine. For starters, a few customer reviews noted the fact that pieces were missing, so they had to call up and wait for the missing pieces to be delivered.
Taller users may find the rowing motion a bit awkward due to the relatively short length of the rail.
Another issue is of course the paltry warranty of just one year on the frame and 90 days on parts.
But this is to be expected on a unit that is priced so low. It's not going to be built to last like a Concept 2 or other high end rowing machine.
Is the Stamina InMotion our favorite rower? Of course not. It is a budget rowing machine for very casual users. Personally we like the feel, the usability and the capability of more serious rowers like the Concept 2 or WaterRower.
Still, if you have less than $100 to spend, the InMotion is not a bad choice. It has different resistance levels, gives you basic feedback, has a fairly comfortable seat and pivoting foot pedals, and a space-friendly footprint.
It's certainly not going to be the most exciting workout you ever have, but it will help you burn some calories and shed a few pounds.
